Welcome to Flourishing Childhood

Transformative practices for raising children in today's world.

About

Your Mighty Networks community, run by Rebecca Sheikh from Flourishing Childhood, is an inclusive space that focuses on attachment, trauma, paradigm shifting practices and the Aware Parenting philosophy. This means that the community is dedicated to promoting healthy and secure attachments between caregivers and children, while also recognising the impact of stress and trauma on individuals and families. It emphasises the importance of emotional connection, empathy, respectful communication, and encourages parents to approach their children with compassion and understanding.

It also recognises that it is crucial for us to acknowledge and explore our own imprints and experiences, as they profoundly shape our parenting journey. We recognise the significance of personal growth and self-work alongside our parenting. By addressing our own needs and healing any unresolved issues, we truly support our families to move beyond trauma towards collective healing.

This community is designed for parents, teachers, those wishing to become Aware Parenting instructors and professionals who work with children, to learn about transformative practices in raising children in an holistic way. The community offers a variety of courses and learning resources, as well as a supportive environment where members can come together to reflect, share insights, and learn from one another. There is a free Q&A each Thursday sometimes with guest speakers at 12pm and a Listening Space on Mondays at 10:30am.

Through this community, members will have the opportunity to explore new ways to approach parenting, teaching, and working therapeutically with children. They will be introduced to transformative practices that promote secure attachment, foster emotional intelligence, and support children's overall wellbeing while healing stress and trauma in children's lives. They will also have access to the latest research and insights in the field, as well as the guidance and expertise of Rebecca Sheikh and other experts.

At its core, this community is about creating positive change and a complete culture shift in the way we care for children. By sharing knowledge, reflecting on our experiences, and supporting one another, we can create a more nurturing and supportive environment for children to grow and flourish.
